Cape Gun Works was an unusual commercial project. We were approached by the owners, two old friends interested in turning a passion into a business by converting an old warehouse into a gun range and showroom. It would be the first of its kind in southeastern Massachusetts. Because of the type of business, there were significant regulatory hurdles regarding safety and noise concerns. Our designs considered both of these crucial facets from the outset of the planning phase, as well as the needs of our clients and their business, and, with approval in hand, construction began. The warehouse was completely renovated with the interiors divided between the range and an expansive pro shop which offers a full range of equipment, as well as classroom space where instruction is provided.
