When a rare vacant lot within steps of a bayside beach became available, our client knew they had found the perfect location for a year-round getaway. Designed with various peaks and dormers, the home has the appearance that it has been expanded over time, which is true of so many historic Cape Cod houses. A farmer’s porch is set across the central portion of the front façade. Above the secondary entrance is a dormer arranged with three windows. A cupola above adds a focal point. When entering, one can see directly into the living area that is part of open floor plan. One of two stairways is to the right. The second stairway is at the far end of the open-concept main living space. A fireplace anchors one side of the main living space, an oversized kitchen island the other. Two small rooms open off of the area, one of which is an enclosed porch. A balcony with ocean views sits atop the porch. The upper level has several bedroom suites. The completely finished lower level is set up for working out and relaxing, with a home theater, wet bar, pool and game tables, and a home gym tucked off in a separate room.
