Gentle dunes brimming with Rosa rugosa rise up just a few feet from the back of this home. A private sandy beach and the ocean lie beyond. The goal of our Cape Cod-based architecture firm was to conceive a home that paid homage to the gorgeous view from virtually every room. The idea of open concept home was nearly unheard of when we created just that; a kitchen, dining area and living area that shared a single space. The large, airy living area very much plays the dominant role here, with a two-story ceiling height highlighted by an intricate array of windows. Just behind the living area are the kitchen and dining area, both of which have a view. A deck runs along a good-sized portion of the back of the home. A glance up from the deck reveals a Juliette balcony that extends off of the second-story primary suite.
