Set in an area on the bayside of Cape Cod with a mix of older cottages and larger newer houses, this home was designed to feel appropriate to the neighborhood while maximizing the available square footage of the waterfront lot. The first floor is comprised of an open-concept space. To the left is the living area; to the right the kitchen and dining area. Tucked into one corner, next to the fireplace, is a window seat, which also has a view of the bay. The north-facing wall is made almost entirely of windows and glass doors, the water just steps away. A terrace spans the length of the home. A stairway with a switchback leads to the second story. At the top of the stairs is a sitting room where a shed dormer allows a vaulted ceiling. Set at the highest point is a trio of windows which floods the space with natural light. Each of the adjacent bedrooms also has a vaulted ceiling with a single high-set drawing the eye up. A third bedroom and two baths complete the second story.
